Calculate the area of the object in Autocad
In Autocad We can calculate and display the area and perimeter of each sequence of points or some type of object.
If we need to calculate the combined area of more than one object.
We can not use selection or crossing selection window to select objects.
To calculate the Defined Area
We can measure an area covered by the points that we specify. The points should be in a plane parallel to the XY plane of the UCS.
To calculate the perimeter, or circumference Object
We can calculate the closed area and perimeter or circumference of a circle, ellipse, polylines, polygons, area, and 3D AutoCAD.
The information displayed will differ according to the type of object that we choose:
Circle. Area and circumference displayed.
Ellipse, closed polylines, polygons, planar spline curves, and area and perimeter is shown.
For wide polylines, this area is determined by the center of the width.
To calculate the area / areas of the object
From the Tools menu, select Inquiry. Then select Area.
At the command line, enter o (Object).
Select the object.
AutoCAD displays the area and perimeter of the selected object.
