save Drawing In AutoCAD

In AutoCAD, we can save the image file for later use the same as we did with other Microsoft Windows applications.


AutoCAD also provides automatic save, backup files, and other options for saving.

When we work on images, we often have to save it.


Saving protect us from losing their jobs in case of unexpected events.


If we want to create a new version of the image without affecting the original image, we can save it under another name.

The file extension for image files that AutoCAD is a DWG, unless we change the default file format in which the image will be saved,

images are stored in image-file format to date. This format is optimized for compression of files and for use on the network.



Saving Images Automatically

If we enable automatic saving option, our image is stored at the specified time interval.

By default, files are automatically saved for a while given filename_a_b_nnnn.sv $ name. Filename is the name of the current picture.

Save to Draw Different Types of Files

You can save images to an earlier version of the image format (DWG) or drawing exchange format (DXF),

or save the image as a template file. Select the format from the File Type in the Save As dialog box Drawing.



To save the picture

On the File menu, click Save.

If your previous save and named drawing, AutoCAD will save the changes and return Displaying Command prompt. If you have not saved the drawing, Drawing the Save As dialog box is displayed.


In the Save As Drawing dialog box under File Name, enter the name of the new image: the file extension is not needed. Then click Save.
