AutoCAD: create offset
Create designs with the help offset more easily and faster than having to
drawing a line, one by one. With the help offset all the design menu
be simple and quick.
Offsetting creates a new object that looks similar to the shape of the selected object.
Offsetting a circle or arc to create a larger or smaller circles or arcs,
depending on which side we should set for the offset.
We can do the offset for the object:
-Lines
-Arc
-Circle
-Elliptical-ellipse and arc (resulting in an oval-shaped spline)
-2D polylines
-Construction of the line (xlines) and ray
-Splines
To create an object by determining the distance
-From the Modify menu, select Offset.
-Determine the offset distance.
-Select the object.
-Specify a point on which side you want to place new objects.
- Press ENTER to end the command.
