About Autocad Unit

Represent the basic unit of all the geometry that we created in our image.

We are free to determine the unit of measurement to be used in our picture.

When we start drawing, with a blank page, the standard unit is based in the decimal system.

Because the software is not able to distinguish inches of millimeters, it is assumed that the value of 1 is equal to either 1 inch or 1 mm.

By adjusting the appropriate unit and to determine the format in which the software presents to our values

through the command line, status bar, polar tracking, and dynamic input interface.

While the units are not software-based system, meaning do not understand the difference between 1 inch and 1 millimeter, here are some assumptions that may affect other settings such as Architectural Imperial units, and display the alternate dimension.

Here are some brief guidelines on the unit:

The software is set by default to decimal units.

A unit of 1 can be equal to 1 inch or 1 millimeter.

If we need architectural input unit for the distance, we must choose Architecture

type drawing unit.

If we work mainly with metric units, then we must use the default setting the decimal unit. AutoCAD has-an-accurate to 14 decimal (1.00000000000000)

By clicking on points in Aérea window will not guarantee that we have established the right length or the angle unless we use the tools provided in drafting the picture settings.
